RepoRadar

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 25, 2026 · Last updated: August 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how RepoRadar (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the macOS application. RepoRadar is a local developer tool that helps you scan folders for git repositories and identify uncommitted or unpushed work.

Summary: RepoRadar does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Repository scanning and processing happen on your Mac, and your source code never leaves your device through this App. One exception: if you make the optional in-app purchase, the Apple-signed purchase receipt and an anonymous random device identifier are sent to our server over HTTPS to verify the purchase (see Section 5).

1. Who we are

RepoRadar is developed and published by an independent developer (Bundle ID: com.jinzhengxuan.commithelper). For privacy questions, contact: 33142100@qq.com.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect or receive:

  • Name, email, or account information (the App has no user accounts)
  • Analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage tracking data
  • Crash reports sent to us (none are transmitted by the App)
  • Your source code, git history, commit messages, or file contents
  • Location, contacts, photos, or other personal content

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only data transmitted off your device is the optional purchase verification described in Section 5.

3. Information stored only on your device

To provide core features, the App may store the following locally on your Mac (for example via macOS UserDefaults and security-scoped bookmarks). This data is not uploaded to our servers:

  • Selected folder access: a security-scoped bookmark so the App can reopen the folder you chose to scan (required by the macOS sandbox)
  • Ignored repository paths: paths you mark as “Don’t Care”
  • Language preference: English or 简体中文
  • Purchase-related records: an anonymous random device identifier (UUID generated by the App) and a local record of purchase transactions already reported to our server (see Section 5)

You can clear this data by deleting the App or resetting related preferences on your Mac.

4. Folder and repository access

RepoRadar only accesses folders you explicitly select. Within those folders, it looks for git repositories and runs local git commands to determine status (for example, whether there are uncommitted changes or unpushed commits). Repository contents are processed locally and are not sent to us or any third party by the App.

5. Purchases and Apple services

If you purchase RepoRadar through the Mac App Store, payment is processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple’s privacy practices apply to App Store transactions. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

In-app purchase verification. RepoRadar offers an optional non-consumable in-app purchase (“Don’t Care” unlock). When such a purchase completes (or is restored), the App sends the following to our server (www.jinzhengxuan.site) over HTTPS, solely to verify the purchase’s authenticity and to reconcile with App Store Connect records:

  • Apple-signed transaction receipt (a StoreKit 2 signed transaction / JWS, containing the transaction ID, product ID, purchase date, and environment)
  • An anonymous random device identifier (a UUID generated locally by the App; it is not derived from your hardware and is not linked to your identity)
  • The product ID and the App’s bundle ID

This purchase data is not linked to any identity (the App has no accounts), is not used for advertising or tracking, and is not shared with or sold to any third party. To request deletion of a purchase record, email us with its transaction ID or device identifier (Section 10).

6. Children’s privacy

The App is a general-audience developer utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data security

Repository scanning is performed entirely on your Mac; we do not operate any cloud database of your repositories. Only the purchase verification records described in Section 5 are stored on our server, transmitted and served over HTTPS. Local security depends on your Mac’s system protections and how you manage device access.

8. International users

The App runs on your device. Except for the purchase verification described in Section 5 (which is transmitted to our server over HTTPS), we do not transfer your App data to our servers. Availability and App Store terms may vary by region as set by Apple.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
